Within three hours by car from Abiholiday, Wilpattu National Park promises wildlife sightings to rival Sri Lanka’s most celebrated reserves. Wild elephant move through ancient lake-and-forest country, sloth bear forage at dusk, and the elusive Sri Lankan leopard makes the park its quiet home.
Comfortable jeeps and expert guides ensure a considered safari experience. Guests are also invited to extend the day with a visit to Eluwankulama, the lagoon-edge sanctuary where migratory waders return each season.

Coast
Whale and dolphin watching
From May to October, the eastern waters off Trincomalee become one of the world’s finest places to see blue whales, often accompanied by sperm whales and large pods of spinner dolphins. We arrange the boat, the guide, and the early drive across the island.

Private Temple Circuit
A half-day private guided visit covering the three most significant Hindu sacred sites in the Jaffna area: Nallur Kandaswamy Temple in town, the water temple at Nagadeepa on Nainativu island (reached by a short boat crossing from Kurikadduwan), and the ancient stupa and Buddhist ruins at Kandarodai.

Jaffna Food Walk
A small-group morning walk through the Jaffna Municipal Market and the surrounding short-eats shops, led by a local cook who has spent years preparing Tamil Jaffna food. The walk is not a tour of restaurants; it is a walk through the raw ingredients and the daily food culture of a community that has one of the most distinct regional cuisines in Sri Lanka.

Delft Island Day Trip
A full-day private excursion to Delft (Neduntivu), the most remote of the inhabited Jaffna islands. The trip combines the morning ferry from Kurikadduwan with a private 4x4 tour of the island's key sites and a picnic lunch prepared by the villa kitchen.

Private Chef Dinner
A multi-course Tamil Jaffna feast prepared in the villa kitchen by a local cook who specialises in the traditional cooking of the Northern Province. The cook consults with you in advance, adapts to dietary requirements, and sources ingredients from the Jaffna market on the morning of the dinner.

Casuarina Beach Picnic
A half-day private beach setup at Casuarina Beach, the white-sand beach on the western tip of Karainagar island. The villa team sets up a shaded picnic area under the casuarina trees with linen, cushions, a cooler of drinks, and a prepared lunch of fresh seafood and Jaffna accompaniments.

Colombo to Jaffna Chauffeur Transfer
A private chauffeur transfer from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Colombo to your Abiholiday villa in Jaffna, with the option to break the journey with one or two Cultural Triangle stops en route. The drive from the airport to Jaffna by the A9 Highway takes approximately 7 to 8 hours without stops.
